About the Opportunity at the National Research Council of Canada (CNRC)

We are seeking a proficient technician specializing in aircraft structures to become an integral part of our dedicated team focused on structural integrity within the Aerospace Research Centre. The ideal candidate will be tasked with executing a variety of testing procedures, setting up test configurations, performing inspections, and collaborating effectively with project leaders and external stakeholders. Candidates with substantial expertise in aircraft structures, assembly, and upkeep are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently
  • Perform mechanical evaluations and gather data
  • Engage with hydraulic systems and machining tools
  • Adhere to technical specifications and maintenance protocols
  • Employ non-destructive testing methodologies
  • Guarantee precise installation of aircraft components

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft systems
  • Experience with CF-18 and/or CH-146 Griffon aircraft is advantageous
  • Understanding of quality assurance methods
  • Capability to interpret mechanical schematics
  • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance tools
