Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Computing Architect to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our central technology team, you will design and implement scalable, secure, and distributed systems for cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure scalability and high availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions and ensure alignment with company strategic goals.
  • Work with partners across the company to identify and address technical requirements and performance needs.
  • Maintain architectural blueprints, design patterns, and best practices for cloud computing.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Recommend technologies and services that align with company strategic goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in best practices for cloud architecture.
  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization to ensure system reliability.
  • Guide DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing.
  • Stay current with the latest cloud trends, technologies, and best practices to improve our cloud architecture.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Cloud Computing Architect, with a focus on cloud computing, scalability, security, and distributed computing.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards for cloud environments.
  • 8+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable and high-availability systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or similar.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing.
  • Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience with serverless architectures and technologies.
  • Experience with data pipelines and related technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Argo, and Beam etc.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems design patterns and principles.
  • Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
