About the Role

GARAGE CHAREST & FRÈRES INC. is seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections of commercial transport trucks to identify and repair or replace faulty parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair complex mechanical issues with commercial vehicle systems.
  • Maintenance and Servicing: Perform routine maintenance and servicing tasks to ensure the continued safe operation of our fleet.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, including advising on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed and problems encountered.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Hand-eye co-ordination, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Tools and Equipment: Valid driver's licence, steel-toed safety boots, and tools.
