Position Overview:

As a Security Officer at Cortellucci Hospital, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment during your assigned shifts. This full-time role involves conducting proactive and reactive security patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct foot patrols of designated areas to ensure the security of personnel, buildings, and equipment.
  • Identify and report irregularities by completing thorough investigations and incident reports, addressing security breaches, safety hazards, and emergency situations; coordinate with emergency responders as necessary.
  • Utilize communication tools, including two-way radios and computer applications, to report site activities effectively.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders while enforcing rules and regulations when required.
  • Provide assistance to individuals in need, demonstrating excellent customer service skills, especially in emergency situations involving injuries or disturbances.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience in a security role is required.
  • Possession of a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR Level C.
  • Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a two-step TB skin test.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • COVID-19 Double Vaccination.
  • Experience in customer service is essential.
