Job Summary

Gemstar Security Service Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Security Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our security team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Response: Be the primary point of contact for emergency situations, providing guidance and support to security personnel.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit progress reports, as well as other relevant documentation, to management.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of security personnel, as well as review their performance.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Office and Volunteer Staff Supervision: Supervise office and volunteer staff as needed.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 people.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Hold a Provincial/Territorial Security Officer Certificate.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, and work under pressure.
  • Experience: Have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Work 35 hours per week.
