Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Supervisor to join our Pharmacovigilance team at McKesson Canada Corporation / La Corporation McKesson Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Pharmacovigilance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our customers, and contributing to the growth and success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of Pharmacovigilance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of services.
  • Develop and implement effective scheduling processes and systems to ensure efficient delivery of services, while meeting customer demands and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with the Manager and other team members to analyze workforce management, attendance statistics, and activity metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Manager regarding quality, operational, technical, and process issues, and recommend corrective actions or follow-up as needed.
  • Support the development and execution of policies and practices, and respond according to policy direction at all times.
  • Identify and address collective or individual staff non-adherence to scheduling policies, attendance issues, or other Workforce Management issues, and report to the Manager on a regular basis.
  • Support other Supervisors and Managers in resolving scheduling-related issues, including contacting staff to fill shifts, assessing program resource allocations for cross-training or redistribution of responsibilities, as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Manager and other PHARMACOVIGILANCE Managers and Supervisors to analyze Workforce Management, attendance statistics, and activity metrics on a regular basis.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of Pharmacovigilance team members, including establishing goals and objectives, and completing performance appraisals in accordance with McKesson's policies.
  • Act as a Preceptor to new hires throughout the orientation period, and support Pharmacovigilance-related training activities.
  • Participate in continuing education sessions as required, and motivate the team to achieve departmental and business goals.
  • Monitor calls for quality and technical accuracy, and provide timely feedback on soft skills and technical content.
  • Articulate an understanding of the different programs provided by PHARMACOVIGILANCE, including contractual obligations, operational metrics, and service level standards, and coach the staff to the same understanding.
  • Ensure staff are aware of all McKesson and PHARMACOVIGILANCE policies and procedures, and interpret these for staff as required.
  • Identify changes to existing policies or the need for new policies related to Pharmacovigilance functions, and forward these to the Manager or Customer Manager for consideration.
  • Support the Manager and Quality Assurance team to identify, investigate, evaluate, and follow-up on all risk incidents and quality issue concerns related to the Pharmacovigilance team.
  • Lead, communicate, coordinate, and interact with all McKesson staff in a manner that promotes and maintains a high level of respect, integrity, operational efficiency, and patient-focused service.
  • Ensure patient safety is the first priority, and understand the integrity of our service is based on our ability to safely and timely triage case processing.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Pharmacist, or other healthcare provider
  • 4-5 years of experience in development and team management
  • Proven ability to work effectively within and manage teams
  • Bilingual proficiency is required
  • 4-5 years of experience in pharmacovigilance
  • Experience in conducting internal and external pharmacovigilance audits
