Position Overview

As a Child Development Specialist at Tiny Hoppers Early Learning Queensborough, you will play a crucial role in fostering the growth and development of young children. Your expertise will help create a nurturing environment that promotes learning and creativity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educational Support: Collaborate with early childhood educators to implement programs that enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Activity Leadership: Engage children through storytelling, music, and interactive activities, while also guiding them on excursions to local attractions.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and behavior.
  • Creative Expression: Encourage children to explore their creativity through various mediums, including art, music, and dramatic play.
  • Developmental Guidance: Support children in developing healthy habits related to eating, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Snack Preparation: Prepare nutritious snacks and organize the environment for meal and rest times.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children for any signs of learning or behavioral challenges and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate.

  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a related field.
