Job Title: Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Specialist to join our team at SEA STAR EDUCATION LTD.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of infants and toddlers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the development of children.
  • Lead activities that stimulate learning and creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Guide and assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges faced by children.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes the well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Criminal record check
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work 30-40 hours per week
