Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Starlight Child Care Centre. As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and team player
