Quality Assurance and Automation Engineer for API Solutions - SAP Integration Suite

APIs serve as the essential digital components for enterprises aiming for digitization and integration. SAP API Management, part of the SAP Integration Suite, allows customers to secure, analyze, and scale APIs across various Multi-Cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, AliCloud, and SAP Data Center, as well as in Hybrid Deployments (Cloud & On-Premise). It offers the necessary visibility and control to utilize and monetize APIs with real-time analytics.

Technologies We Utilize

  • Web Development: Typescript, Angular2+, SAP UI5, API, Core Java, JEE, JavaScript, NodeJS, Ajax, JSON, HTML5, CSS, REST/ODATA, and PostgreSQL
  • Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, HTML5, Angular, React, or Golang
  • PaaS & Cloud Infrastructure: Virtualization, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, AliCloud, and GCP
  • Machine Learning: ML Libraries for Time Series Data, NLP
  • Database: Postgres, Sybase, Cassandra, and SAP HANA
  • Scripting: Shell or Python, Terraform, Ansible, Dynatrace

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated testing processes for cloud-based software systems in environments such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Collaborate with internal development and support teams to plan and design tests for new features and software deployments.
  • Develop and utilize tools and frameworks to enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes.
  • Create, review, and execute functional and non-functional test cases for newly developed features released monthly.
  • Effectively troubleshoot functional and non-functional defects, reporting and tracking issues as necessary.
  • Analyze, identify, and implement opportunities for test automation.
  • Provide clear status updates to stakeholders regarding product quality.
  • Integrate various products and develop comprehensive customer test scenarios, executing and automating them.
  • Establish cross-product development test environments.
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, etc., is essential.
  • Familiarity with Core Java, Maven, and scripting (Shell/Python, JavaScript) is advantageous.
  • Experience with Jenkins and test integration with Jenkins is required.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (Amazon, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD delivery concepts is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of JSON, SAP UI5, API, Core Java, JEE, JavaScript, Ajax, HTML5, CSS, REST/ODATA, Git, GitHub, Gerrit, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with development environments and tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Principles and Agile Software Development, particularly CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automation testing methodologies for complex enterprise product stacks.
  • ISTQB certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in at least one automated testing tool (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Katalon, Postman) and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, SAP BCP).
  • Experience in automated testing of UI products, internet products, big data processing, distributed systems, databases, and networks is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud Integration, SAP API Management, and Integration Gateway is advantageous.
  • Excellent team player, self-motivated, passionate, and proactive with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
