Experienced Dispatch Agent

Job Summary:
The Experienced Dispatch Agent serves as the communication hub and control center for all winter operations departments, ensuring seamless coordination and effective response to emergencies.
Job Specifications:
- Housing: May Be Available
- Expected Pay Range: $21.00 - $26.56 / hour
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time
- Skill Level: Intermediate
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Patrol operations, including dispatching Patrollers to accidents and organizing medical evacuations.
- Delegate personnel and resources to situations such as ski lift breakdowns, avalanches, and emergency injury scenarios.
- Maintain daily Patrol Dispatch for all daily operations, including injuries, ski run trail checks, and avalanche control and accident investigation.
- Ensure transport of Guests and/or Staff off the slopes of Whistler or Blackcomb mountains.
- Maintain Dispatch Office and supplies.
- Assist Patrol with Sweep.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain layouts and operations a definite asset.
- Familiar with emergency procedures in regards to such activities as avalanche control, medical emergencies, and ski lift breakdowns.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, carrying out multi-tasking duties and remaining calm and alert at all times.
- Recognize priorities when under pressure and understand the sense of urgency required for different emergency situations.
- Working knowledge of computer (Microsoft Word/Excel).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team play.
