About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team at Colas, a leading provider of transportation infrastructure services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient removal of snow and ice from local roads and highways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a combo unit to perform snow removal and ice control operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
  • Understand route maps and sand/salt application rates
  • Meet call-in requirements during winter storm events
  • Operate and handle various construction tools, including pothole repairs and traffic control
Requirements
  • BZ, DZ, or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
