Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects for McIntosh Perry in Alberta. This role presents a unique opportunity for a dynamic professional to oversee the delivery of transportation and infrastructure projects from design through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Oversee the delivery of transportation and infrastructure projects to clients within the Province, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  2. Proposal and Tender Preparation: Prepare proposals, tender documents, and project cost estimates, and monitor budgets and forecasting.
  3. Team Management: Coordinate, organize, and manage the activities of project staff through preliminary engineering, detail design, contract preparation, construction, and post-construction phases.
  4. Construction Administration: Provide construction and contract administration expertise, leadership, and mentoring of staff.
  5. Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and the project team to ensure project requirements are met.
  6. Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety codes, guidelines, and regulations forming our Health, Safety & Environmental management system.

Requirements:

  1. Post-secondary education in civil engineering (Degree, technical diploma or equivalent).
  2. 7+ years of experience in transportation and infrastructure projects.
  3. Experience in coordinating and managing project teams on transportation projects.
  4. Experience with management and mentoring of project staff.
  5. Good understanding of QA / QC / QM as well as OH&S practices / requirements.
  6. Demonstrated experience with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors design guidelines and construction specifications.
  7. Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
