We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Parkland Saint John - Tucker Hall in Saint John, New Brunswick. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and direct resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff.
- Provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services, respecting the client's right to individualized planning of health services.
- Work with the existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures.
- Administer and record prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice.
- Maintain the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
- Apply dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy.
- Assist with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff.
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual who is passionate about the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care. You will bring:
- Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body.
- Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts, inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A valid CPR & First Aid Certification.
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
- Any previous course in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care, which would be a huge asset.
- Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment, which would be an asset.
