Job Summary

As an Integration Specialist at BGIS, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing integrated solutions using the Niagara Tridium platform. Your expertise will be essential in integrating diverse systems, protocols, and devices to create unified and efficient building automation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy integrated solutions utilizing the Niagara Tridium framework, integrating various building systems such as HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management.
  • Develop custom programming logic and configure system components to meet project requirements, ensuring seamless communication between devices, protocols, and systems.
  • Manage databases within the Niagara Tridium platform, ensuring data integrity, security, and efficient storage and retrieval of information.
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of integrated systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, technicians, and stakeholders, to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver integrated solutions on time and within budget.
  • Document technical information, including system design, specifications, programming logic, and user manuals, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and support ongoing maintenance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a system integrator, with proven experience working with the Niagara Tridium platform or similar building automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of building automation systems, protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.), and IT networking principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
