Senior Heavy Equipment Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of trucks, trailers, and various heavy machinery within a fleet setting to ensure optimal functionality.
- Utilize computerized diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues.
- Make necessary adjustments and replace defective components as required.
- Execute repairs on damaged machinery parts to restore equipment to working condition.
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles.
- Service and repair machine attachments to maintain operational efficiency.
- Undertake significant repair tasks when necessary to uphold equipment performance.
- Collaborate with fellow mechanics and supervisors for effective problem resolution.
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management promptly.
- Actively engage in adhering to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or relevant Apprenticeship Documentation.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic technologies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and construction machinery.
- Possession of at least a Class 5 driver's license.
- CVIP license is preferred.
- Willingness to work after hours if necessary.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
