Job Summary:
Laprairie is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment and trucks in a fleet environment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and testing heavy equipment and trucks to identify any issues or malfunctions
- Diagnosing and repairing complex problems with heavy equipment and trucks
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and trucks
- Collaborating with other mechanics and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective repairs
- Reporting any damaged or faulty equipment to management
- Participating in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Apprenticeship Documentation
- Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Understanding of computer testing technologies
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment
- Class 5 driver's license at minimum
- CVIP license preferred
- Ability to work after-hours if required
- Good communication skills
