Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job Summary:

Laprairie is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment and trucks in a fleet environment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting and testing heavy equipment and trucks to identify any issues or malfunctions
• Diagnosing and repairing complex problems with heavy equipment and trucks
• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and trucks
• Collaborating with other mechanics and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective repairs
• Reporting any damaged or faulty equipment to management
• Participating in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Apprenticeship Documentation
• Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Understanding of computer testing technologies
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment
• Class 5 driver's license at minimum
• CVIP license preferred
• Ability to work after-hours if required
• Good communication skills
