Accounting Clerk Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team at Alberta Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing general ledgers, journal entries, and managing accounts receivable and payable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transactions: Prepare and record financial transactions, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Accounts Management: Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing clients and collecting payments.
  • Financial Calculations: Perform financial calculations, such as costing and budgeting, and prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Computer and Technology: Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and Word.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess excellent oral communication skills, be organized, reliable, and a quick learner, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Language: English.
