Job Title: Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Gifft Express Inc.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational logistics of our organization, ensuring the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and coordinating activities with other work units or departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow
  • Organize tasks to accomplish work and oversee operational logistics
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Arrange training for staff
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work
  • Organize and maintain inventory
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Support for newcomers and refugees
  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
Work Environment:
