Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Yarmouth Regional Hospital (YRH). As a member of our collegial group, you will have the opportunity to work with a cardiologist, nephrologist, and gastroenterologist, providing full scope of practice internist services.
Responsibilities
- Provide full scope of practice internist services
- Participate in call shifts
- Provide support to your own site but also to others in the Western Zone if required
- Be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Internal Medicine for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice
- Operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health Authority
- Participate in teaching both family medicine and internal medicine residents and fellows
Expected Hours
- Full-time
- On-call requirement for Internal Medicine (1:7)
- Weekly coverage for ICU and Internal Medicine hospitalist during which time physician will provide outpatient care appropriate to their subspecialty
Qualifications
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
