Ghumaan Construction Limited is seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for projects, taking into account factors such as site conditions and building codes.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Carefully read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Site Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Installation and Finishing: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and minimal disruptions to the construction process.
  • Training and Supervision: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as handling heavy loads.
  • Work Conditions: The job involves working at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments, with occasional overtime required.
  • Work Setting: The role involves working at various locations, with relocation costs covered by the employer.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
