About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Trillian Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Own vehicle
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Hard hat
  • Safety glasses/goggles
