Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Sectoral Climate Strategy to drive the development and implementation of sectoral climate strategies. This role will work closely with the Director, Sectoral Climate Strategy to enable the delivery of RBC's climate commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support strategy development and project management for emissions reduction target-setting, with a focus on strategic problem-solving and economic analysis.
  • Drive the development of sectoral climate strategies, including research and analytical work on decarbonization pathways and sectoral climate strategies.
  • Support the implementation and coordination of sectoral strategies across lines of business, including the development of common enterprise-level frameworks and tools.
  • Establish and maintain a knowledge and insights management function, staying up-to-date on key technical and strategic developments relevant to this mandate.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3+ years of strategy experience in management consulting or corporate strategy.
  • Experience with quantitative economic and financial modeling.
  • Experience working in corporate sustainability and sector decarbonization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to executive audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
