About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Fresh Prep, a leading meal kit delivery service in Western Canada. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading our new kitchen team, overseeing production, and ensuring the highest quality of our Ready to Eat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff to process, prep, cook, plate, and package a variety of Ready to Eat products.
  • Responsible for the kitchen's labour, grocery, and supplies budget performance under a weekly rotating menu schedule.
  • Ensure all product quality, taste, presentation, and on-time order fulfillment within a CFIA registered facility.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with provincial and federal health and safety codes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to execute facility-wide initiatives and continuously improve processes and results.
Requirements
  • Culinary Diploma or Culinary Red Seal required.
  • 5 years of experience supervising productivity, efficiency, and process improvement in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • 5 years of experience liaising with purchasing, quality assurance, and human resource departments.
  • A problem solver's mentality and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, maintain efficiency, and deliver results on time.
