Job Summary:
Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1A Home Centre Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-truck and trailer to deliver products and supplies to customers, vendors, and job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a semi-truck and trailer to deliver products and supplies to customers, vendors, and job sites.
- Verify load security and order accuracy to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Conduct daily pre-and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with National Safety Code regulations.
- Deliver materials to identified locations, providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Perform minor mechanical work on trucks and semi-trailers as required.
- Perform truck and trailer inspections and report on equipment condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of truck and trailer units in accordance with brand standards.
- Assist with yard maintenance, fill orders, receive freight, and perform inventory counts as assigned.
- Complete required paperwork based on department standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1A driver's license and a clean abstract.
- 6 months of Class 1A semi-truck driving experience.
- Familiarity with National Safety Code regulations and ability to operate heavy-duty equipment safely.
- Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and occasional heavy lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
