Position Overview

Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Apprentice will provide support for the Q400 fleet in a line maintenance setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, technical drawings, and established protocols.
  • Conduct repairs and overhauls on aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
  • Install or modify aircraft engines and systems including mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel, and pneumatic systems.
  • Dismantle and reassemble airframes, aircraft engines, or other systems for maintenance and cleaning.
  • Perform and document both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance under the supervision of a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or Aircraft Maintenance Technician (ACA).
  • Engage actively in the Safety Management System (SMS) by reporting hazards and incidents, while adhering to and promoting the Company Safety Policy.
  • Assist on the ramp as needed.

Qualifications
  • Completion of secondary education is mandatory.
  • A college diploma in aircraft maintenance from a Transport Canada accredited institution.
  • Possession of a valid Ontario full 'G' driver's license or equivalent.
  • Capability to obtain a Canadian Passport and necessary security clearances.
  • Successful completion of the company screening process is required.
