Role Overview
The position is primarily seasonal, with operations typically commencing in late May and extending through October, involving work throughout the week, including some weekends. Extended periods away from home may be required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 5 years of experience driving tractor-trailers
- Willingness to work overnight and out of town with flexible scheduling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in liquid transport
- Comfort with working at heights
- Basic proficiency in computer operations
Daily Responsibilities
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled driver who thrives on the open road. Your primary responsibility will be operating a bunk tractor with various tank trailers, transporting asphalt and chloride products from production facilities to diverse job sites.
Strong driving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are crucial for ensuring secure and timely deliveries. Daily inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment, will be part of your routine, along with maintaining cleanliness and overall condition of the truck, which serves as your mobile office.
Effective communication skills are essential, as you will be expected to relay information to and from the Dispatch Supervisor on a daily basis.
