The YMCA of Northern Alberta is in search of a dedicated Follow Up Support Worker (FSW) to enhance our Community team. The successful applicant will possess a background in assisting individuals, couples, and families facing homelessness and various challenges.

Position Overview:

  • Oversee a caseload by performing assessments and evaluations
  • Facilitate access to appropriate housing for participants
  • Deliver support services aligned with the Housing First Philosophy
  • Engage effectively with at-risk populations
  • Work collaboratively with external service providers and community partners
  • Comply with YMCA policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, Security Clearance, and other relevant qualifications
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Experience working with diverse cultural groups and marginalized communities
