**Job Summary**

Strive Living Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse abilities to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide one-to-one assistance to individuals in their homes and local community
  • Support skill development, community integration, social, recreation, and leisure programs
  • Facilitate health care appointments and work with multidisciplinary frontline teams
  • Communicate effectively with families, educational personnel, social workers, and service providers
  • Assist with daily living tasks and provide emotional support

**Requirements:**

  • Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract
  • Personal vehicle for work and car insurance with a third-party liability of $2 million
  • Positive Behaviour Management Training
  • MANDT Training will be offered in-house
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • University degree or college diploma in a social science program and/or subsequent experience
