Medical Affairs Operations Lead

Astellas Pharma Canada is seeking a highly skilled Medical Affairs Operations Lead to join our team in Markham, Ontario. As a key member of our Medical Affairs organization, you will play a critical role in driving the operational efforts to deliver annual and long-term medical planning and execution of Medical Affairs activities and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:- Medical Operations Leadership: Develop and implement operational plans to ensure timely and effective execution of affiliate annual plans, meeting deliverables and objectives according to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Operational and Strategic Contributions: Provide strategic input to affiliate Medical Affairs organization and leadership, identifying risks to planned execution of MA activities and collaborating with medical teams to develop risk mitigation plans and corrective measures.
- Budget Management: Support affiliate medical teams in managing budget and contract requirements for MA activities, coordinating affiliate MA budget and (re)-forecasts process, and facilitating accurate submissions.
- Medical Planning: Lead affiliate MA planning and coordination of key MA events, such as Core Medical Planning (CMP), providing subject matter expertise on technical aspects relating to CMP process.
- Metrics and Reporting: Organize meaningful metrics to support local business decision-making and reporting, collaborating with affiliate MA teams to ensure accurate and timely data completion and maintenance of data within repositories.
- Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical teams, finance, and regional MA teams.
- Operational Planning and Execution: Proven experience in developing and implementing operational plans, ensuring timely and effective execution of activities and deliverables.
- Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets and contract requirements for MA activities, with a strong understanding of financial metrics and reporting.
- Medical Planning and Execution: Knowledge of medical planning and execution processes, including CMP and ISR, with a strong understanding of technical aspects relating to these processes.
- Metrics and Reporting: Ability to organize meaningful metrics to support local business decision-making and reporting, with a strong understanding of data analysis and interpretation.
