mdf commerce Inc is a leading provider of SaaS solutions that optimize and accelerate commercial interactions for B2B and B2G customers.

We are seeking a Director, Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our finance team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Oversee the month-end close process and prepare financial statements in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
  • Responsible for financial statement consolidation.
  • Manage treasury functions, including banking and debt.
  • Participate in the annual audit process.
  • Ensure continuous application and implementation of accounting standards (IFRS) and prepare accounting memorandums.
  • Responsible for the accounting system, Business Central (BC).
  • Support the preparation of the budget and monthly financial analysis.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives, such as acquisitions, performance monitoring, and process automation.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of effective financial processes and internal controls.
  • Supervise accountants, accounts receivable, and accounts payable teams.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare technical accounting analysis.
  • Ability to identify issues and suggest solutions to senior management.
  • Management experience and team coaching skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, both oral and written.
  • Autonomy and dynamism.
  • Experience in process automation.
  • Knowledge of Business Central software is an asset.
  • CPA designation.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or administration/accounting & reporting profile.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role or progressive roles.
  • Experience in team management.
