Fleet Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Director to join our team at Waste Management Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the full fleet of primary and secondary vehicles, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of fleet professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure exceptional results.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies, maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Proficiency in fleet management software, data analytics tools, and other relevant technologies.
