Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Sparwood, British Columbia. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Identify and address customer needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete less complex repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets and timesheets.
  • Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and/or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician - Off Road Certification.

Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.

Locally valid driving permit.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Basic level field service work experience.

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.

Customer service experience.

Working Conditions:

This is a unionized location in Sparwood, BC.

Minimal level of workshop-related experience required.

Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
