NATURE & SCOPE
The Supervisor role encompasses overseeing all facets of the Child Care Centre, including programming, administrative duties, and team management. The Centre serves infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children before and after school.

Duties:

  • Provide continuous support, guidance, and direction to foster positive interactions among staff, parents, and children.
  • Act as a liaison between the school, parents, children, and staff.
  • Prepare and submit monthly regional subsidy trackers, QCCN, immunization reports, and health and safety documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all YMCA Playing to Learn standards.
  • Meet or exceed all Ministry of Education licensing requirements.
  • Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.
  • Engage in training and adhere to established Child Protection Policies and Procedures.
  • Lead initiatives for community engagement and support.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Registered Early Childhood Educator.
  • At least 2 years of licensed child care experience.
  • Current immunizations as mandated by public health authorities.
  • YMCA Playing to Learn training is an asset.
  • Food Handlers certification.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification.
  • A clear and satisfactory criminal reference check, including a vulnerable sector search.
