About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate and Trust Planning Lead to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Wealth Management group, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our clients and advisors on complex estate and trust planning matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement estate and trust planning strategies to meet the needs of our clients
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to advisors and clients on estate and trust planning matters
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure a coordinated approach to estate and trust planning issues
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in estate and trust legislation and provide recommendations to ensure compliance
  • Manage risk associated with estate and trust planning issues
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the estate and trust industry, including the regulatory environment
  • Extensive knowledge of the competitive estate and trust market – products, companies, taxation and marketing concepts
  • Detailed knowledge of estate and trust law, including related Quebec Civil law
  • Fluency in both French and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
