Intermediate Mission Operations Engineer

Job Category: Engineering

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mission Operations Engineer to join our Robotics and Space Operations team. The successful candidate will support the mission operations team through mathematical analysis and modeling required to analyze on-orbit tasks for the International Space Station, including contact dynamics and CAD modeling of robotic systems and their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the mission operations team in the analysis and modeling of on-orbit tasks for the International Space Station
  • Develop and maintain mathematical models and simulations to analyze contact dynamics and robotic system operations
  • Document and communicate technical information to the team and stakeholders
  • Participate in system-level technical discussions and customer interactions
  • Provide IT support to sustain program operations
  • Participate in end-to-end mission design and analysis, including robotic simulation and analysis, dynamic simulations, and contingency operations analysis

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Engineering Physics, or Computer Engineering and/or Applied Mathematics or Physics
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in DevOps and IT support, including Linux, scripting languages, and High-Performance Computing
  • Experience in simulation or dynamics analysis is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Security Clearance: Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
