Job Title: Network Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team at Elvin`s IT Consulting.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Coordinate access and use of computer networks, install software, and maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade web server hardware and software.
  • Security: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures, and perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations, and set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess expertise in Linux, Unix, JavaOS, networking security, extranet, intranet, internet, servers, word processing software, and website creation and management software.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
