Job Title: Network Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team at Elvin`s IT Consulting. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our computer networks and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks
  • Install and configure network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system operation
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and systems
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2 years of experience in network administration and engineering
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with network security, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Linux and Unix operating systems
  • Knowledge of JavaOS and other network operating systems
  • Experience with website creation and management software
