Qualifications We Seek
- A minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience.
- Life signing authority exceeding $1,000,000.
- A sales-oriented mindset with a focus on acquiring and retaining business in a competitive landscape.
- Progress towards or completion of FALU, FLMI, and ACS designations.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, including physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, imaging, diagnostic testing, and treatments.
- Understanding of how non-medical risks influence mortality, including hazardous occupations, sports, avocations, and lifestyle choices.
- Experience with financial documentation and training in anti-money laundering practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Additional Skills (Not Mandatory)
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset – particularly for candidates in Québec, who must communicate in both languages to assist clients from various jurisdictions.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous.
- CI authority exceeding $100,000.
- A degree in a relevant field such as medical, research, or finance.
- Strong negotiation capabilities.
- Interest in representing the organization at external events, panels, and conferences.
- Experience in co-signing, referral assessments, mentoring, etc.

Salary range is expected to be between
$60,000.00 CAD - $100,000.00 CADActual salaries may vary based on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education. Employees may also participate in incentive programs tied to business and individual performance.
