Job Title: Replacement Professor Position in Mathematics and Statistics

Job Summary: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a replacement professor position in probability and statistics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in both official languages and contribute to the department's research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: The professor will be responsible for teaching six courses per year in probability and statistics, as well as contributing to the development of new courses and programs.
  • Research: The professor will be expected to conduct research in probability and statistics, and contribute to the department's research activities.
  • Service: The professor will be expected to participate in departmental and university service activities, such as committee work and mentoring students.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: A proven track record of teaching at the undergraduate level, as well as research experience in academia and/or industry.
  • Language: The ability to teach in both official languages.
