Food Safety Auditor

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Food Safety Auditor to join our Business Assurance team. As a Food Safety Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting assessments in manufacturing and services industries against 1st-Party, 2nd-Party, and 3rd-Party food safety management systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct document reviews and pre-assessments to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Prepare and send audit plans to clients prior to the audit.
- Conduct opening and closing meetings to explain the audit process and objectives.
- Conduct audits, interviewing personnel, making observations, and sampling records.
- Liaise with team members to determine the validity of findings.
- Effectively present findings to clients and advise on corrective actions.
- Assess corrections and corrective action plans.
- Prepare audit reports.
- Bachelor's Science Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food quality, food safety, or auditing.
- Certification as a GFSI Scheme Approved Lead Auditor.
- Knowledge of USDA/FDA/CFIA regulations and GFSI standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
