Job Title: Heavy Duty Equipment Technician

Westyork Rental Corp is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on heavy equipment and trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, with a focus on heavy-duty equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical transmissions, hydraulic transmissions, wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering, and brake systems
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work on-site at our physical location, with no option to work remotely.
