About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Four Points Express. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and diesel engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, ensuring timely and efficient repairs.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required, and adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Maintenance and Service: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work, as well as service attachments and working tools.
  • Environmental Compliance: Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Permanent position, 35 hours per week, with a focus on attention to detail and standing for extended periods.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
