We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing routine laboratory procedures and rotating through various disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine laboratory procedures, including chemistry, hematology, transfusion medicine, microbiology, and anatomical pathology.
- Rotate through various disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding of laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to maintain high standards of laboratory performance.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with laboratory staff, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program.
- Eligibility for certification from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
