About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Lion's Gate Building Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain floors and stairs to ensure a safe and clean environment for our clients and staff.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers regularly to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Work with minimal supervision to take ownership of your tasks and responsibilities.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our facilities.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to achieve our goals.

Physical Demands
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure efficient operations.
  • Repetitive tasks such as cleaning and maintenance.
  • Handling heavy loads such as equipment and supplies.
  • Physically demanding work requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Weight Handling
  • Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) of weight handling.
