Position Overview
The City of Lethbridge is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Corporate Information Technology Department. This role involves collaborating with various business units and IT Project Managers to enhance operational efficiencies and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to capture, analyze, and document business processes.
- Translate business needs into application and operational requirements.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills to identify gaps and propose effective technology solutions.
- Assist in the development of business cases and support departments in decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with IT Project Managers to plan and implement improvement strategies.
- Employ best practices in change management to facilitate smooth transitions during project implementations.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Systems is preferred.
- Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) and other relevant certifications are advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a large organization.
- Proficient in process and technical requirements gathering, gap analysis, and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and relationship building.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Compensation: $43.96 per hour
Work Schedule: 75 hours bi-weekly
