Position Overview

The role of a Construction Field Technician involves various responsibilities that contribute to the successful execution of construction projects.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the formulation of engineering specifications and technical drawings.
  • Engage in field surveys, inspections, and technical assessments.
  • Compile construction specifications along with cost and material estimates.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines.
  • Oversee or perform field surveys, inspections, technical evaluations, and testing of construction materials.
Supervisory Duties

Responsible for supervising a team of approximately 3-4 individuals.

Technical Proficiency

Familiarity with the following software is essential:

  • MS Access
  • MS Excel
  • MS Outlook
  • MS PowerPoint
  • MS Project
  • MS Word
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking required.
