Job Summary:
VON Canada is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Visiting Nursing Program in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings across Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care to clients in their homes and other settings, including diabetes management, dialysis, IV medications, IV/CVAD care, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify client needs, and provide education and support to promote healthy living and independence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice.
- Experience in community health an asset.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check, and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
