We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team at Home and Community Care Support Services. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Transactions
- Process and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Verify and post financial data to the general ledger
- Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues
- Communicate with clients to resolve billing and payment discrepancies
- Financial Analysis
- Perform financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions
- Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and errors
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Experience
- Minimum three years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
