The Town of Grenfell is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Recreation, Culture and Promotion. This position is responsible for the management of the Recreation, Culture and Promotion Department, including the coordination of the Grenfell Recreation and Culture Advisory Board and the supervision of non-management staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Recreation, Culture and Promotion Department, including the coordination of the Grenfell Recreation and Culture Advisory Board.
- Supervise and oversee the work of non-management staff in the Recreation and Culture Department.
- Provide oversight of contracted service providers in the Town's recreational facilities.
- Develop and implement programs and services that promote community engagement and recreation.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve the Town's goals and objectives.
- Post-secondary education in Recreation and Community Development, Social Sciences, or other human service disciplines.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience at a senior level in municipal government or a not-for-profit organization.
- Experience in grant research and proposal preparation is an asset.
- A competitive salary range of $60,900 - $70,000 per year.
